Oscar is the owner and self proclaimed, Godfather of BRONX. Growing up in the New York borough of Bronx, he moved to Nashville to escape a mysterious past and his estranged family. He opened the BRONX bar as an homage to the city he loves... and as a way to foster a whole new family... a family of ‘Bronx Boys’. Brilliant, theatrical, and razor-sharp, Oscar rules his kingdom with biting sarcasm, impossible standards, and an almost military expectation of loyalty. His insults can be legendary, his temper volcanic, and his affection nearly impossible to earn. Yet beneath the flamboyant bravado is a man who quietly carries the weight of
everyone under his roof. He protects his people fiercely, even as he manipulates them, making him equal parts loving patriarch and ruthless puppet master. No relationship better captures this contradiction than his bond with the young bartender, Blake Turner. Oscar has become the closest thing Blake has ever had to a father, mentoring him while simultaneously exploiting that loyalty by using Blake (and his sister, Lexi) to quietly distribute narcotics throughout BRONX. Their relationship is one of genuine love tangled together with manipulation, codependency, and moral compromise. Behind Oscar's larger-than-life persona lies a devastating secret. He is privately battling late-stage HIV/AIDS, a diagnosis that has left him terrified of dying alone, and desperate to preserve the family he created before it's too late. As his health deteriorates, his carefully constructed façade begins to crack, setting in motion events that will become central to the series' long-term story.
Oscar is not the monster outsiders assume he is, nor the saint he imagines himself to be. He is a deeply wounded man whose fear, pride, and loneliness have hardened into control. To those who judge BRONX from the outside, he appears to embody every conservative nightmare about the gay nightlife scene. But those willing to look beyond the surface discover something far more tragic: a man searching for unconditional love in all the wrong places, while unknowingly becoming both the greatest obstacle to—and the greatest source of—that love for the family he has built.

Oscar and Miss Dotty have a past connection. In their twenties Oscar and Dorothy had a meet-cute encounter at a concert which changed both of their lives forever. As wonderful as this encounter was, it started Oscar on a path that led him to the broken man he is today... including his HIV/AIDS diagnosis. Oscar blames Dorothy for everything that has gone wrong in his life... especially his terminal illness. This reveal becomes an eye-opener on Oscar’s relationship with drugs and drug dealing in BRONX, as well as his vengeful predisposition toward Adam.
